FCT Exco approves completion of abandoned Utako General Hospital, upgrade of FCT health facilities

The FCT Executive Council recently approved the renovation, rehabilitation, and upgrading of all general hospitals in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), including the long-abandoned Utako General Hospital. The projects aim to enhance healthcare services for residents through the procurement of new medical equipment, diagnostic facilities, and theater upgrades.

The decision was made during the 19th meeting of the FCT Executive Council, chaired by Minister Nyesom Wike. The council also approved the digitalization of the FCT High Court, which will introduce electronic court recording and case-management systems, replacing manual processes. Furthermore, the council approved contracts for the provision of examination materials for schools and the construction of a 33KVA power supply line to Tukulo and surrounding villages in Bwari Area Council.
