Etihad Rail has started operating a train service between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, offering travellers an alternative to driving or flying. Tickets for the journey start at Dh39 from Dubai and Dh55 from Fujairah to Abu Dhabi. Upon arrival in Abu Dhabi, passengers arrive at Mohamed bin Zayed City Station, situated opposite Dalma Mall and adjacent to Mussafah Bus Station. From here, they can reach numerous major attractions via shuttle bus, taxi or ride-hailing service.

For those interested in visiting Yas Island, home to attractions like Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi, SeaWorld Yas Island and Yas Waterworld, the journey can be made by taxis or ride-hailing services from Mohamed bin Zayed City Station, with an estimated fare of Dh50 to Dh70 and a travel time of about 30 to 40 minutes. Alternatively, the free Yas Express shuttle is available to connect many of the island's main attractions and hotels.

Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi's cultural hub, features attractions such as Louvre Abu Dhabi, teamLab Phenomena, Zayed National Museum and the Natural History Museum. While there is no dedicated train shuttle to Saadiyat Island, taxis or ride-hailing services are the easiest option for reaching this location, with an estimated journey time of 30 to 40 minutes and a fare of Dh60 to Dh75 for destinations like Louvre Abu Dhabi.

The Corniche, a waterfront destination along Abu Dhabi's coast, is ideal for exploring the city centre. Shuttle services from Mohamed bin Zayed City Station to Adnoc Headquarters on the Corniche cost Dh10 and take about 45 minutes. Alternatively, a taxi ride to the Corniche takes approximately 25 to 35 minutes and costs around Dh55 to Dh70, depending on the specific location and traffic conditions.
