Estonia says Russia ordered August arson attack on defence company

Estonia has declared Russian intelligence services responsible for an arson attack on defense company Milrem Robotics, according to a statement from the country's Mission to the European Union. The internal security services of Estonia have confirmed that this act of sabotage was organized on the orders of the Russian Federation.

In a recent address, the Estonian foreign minister stated that Russia is attempting to intimidate and force Europe to reduce its support for Ukraine and ease pressure on Moscow. This incident is a sign of growing desperation from Moscow, as it has not been able to achieve its goals in the ongoing conflict with Ukraine. Estonia's security services have managed to prevent several similar acts of sabotage in the past, and the perpetrators of the Milrem Robotics arson have been arrested.

The minister emphasized that Europe will not be intimidated by Russia's actions and will remain united to continue pressuring Russia through sanctions and restrictions on Russian citizens' entry into Europe. Estonia is also increasing its level of preparedness and internal security to effectively counter any future actions by Russia.

Estonia's defense minister has reiterated the country's commitment to providing 0.25% of its GDP to support Ukraine, despite threats from Russia and Russian intelligence services.
