Dodgers Reveal Shohei Ohtani Injury Status Before NLDS

The Los Angeles Dodgers have announced that their star player Shohei Ohtani is healthy and ready to play in the National League Division Series (NLDS). Ohtani had been on the injured list since September 11 but made a late return just before the end of the regular season. General Manager Brandon Gomes stated, "Swing is in a good place, feeling good heading into this series is important, he’s in a great spot."

Ohtani faced multiple injury challenges throughout the season, including a knee issue and a right biceps injury. Despite these setbacks, the reigning MVP performed exceptionally well in the postseason, hitting 11 home runs, driving in 24 runs, and posting a .940 OPS. In 2025, he had an impressive .940 OPS in the postseason, driving in 14 RBIs and earning the NLCS MVP award.

Ohtani's regular season performance, though slightly impacted by injuries, still earned him an All-Star selection as the NL's top vote getter. The Dodgers' next opponent in the NLDS remains to be seen, with either the Philadelphia Phillies or Atlanta Braves likely to face them.
