Dissolve Black Stars and GFA – Sam George after shocking loss to The Gambia

Ghana’s Communications Minister, Samuel George, has called for drastic measures to be taken against the national football team, the Black Stars, and the governing body, the Ghana Football Association (GFA), following a humiliating 4-2 defeat by The Gambia. This defeat marks the second consecutive loss for the Black Stars in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, following a 2-0 loss to Ivory Coast in their opening Group C fixture.

Ernest Nuamah and Felix Afena-Gyan had put the Black Stars ahead with two goals, but The Gambia staged an impressive comeback to secure victory. George, who is also an MP for Ningo-Prampram, took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to express his stance on the matter. He reiterated his previous position and called for the disbandment of the Black Stars, the sack of the FA, and a two-year ban from FIFA.

George emphasized the need for a proper rebuilding of the team, acknowledging that the current situation is worse than a simple punishment. He concluded with a phrase that reads like a rallying cry for change: "Truth hurts, but the patchwork is worse. Cheers."
