Chael Sonnen: Dana White vs. Eddie Hearn feud ‘much hotter’ than Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua

Chael Sonnen believes the feud between Dana White and Eddie Hearn is the most intense in combat sports currently. White and Hearn's personal rivalry has spilled over into the business world, overshadowing the upcoming Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua fight. Hearn insists White has nothing to do with the boxing match despite White's alliance with Turki Alalshikh, the main backer of the event.

On his podcast, Sonnen questioned if Hearn and White are intentionally feuding to generate interest in the fight, which could benefit all parties involved. Fury vs. Joshua, a dream fight for years, has been announced for Dec. 11 in Cardiff, Wales. Sonnen doubts the fight will mean as much in North America as the White vs. Hearn feud, which could generate more clicks, views, and requests for interviews.

White has refused to comment on his involvement in the Fury vs. Joshua fight following a Zuffa Boxing event in London. Sonnen couldn't determine White's angle, but he credits Hearn with being more straightforward about the situation. Both White and Hearn have legal reasons to make their statements, as the UFC and the boxing industry have different rules.

Sonnen thinks both are telling the truth, but the question remains who will be right. Hearn has made it clear that White cannot be involved in any aspect of the fight, including press releases, stage appearances, and press conferences. Sonnen enjoyed Hearn's contribution to the Fury vs. Joshua hype and believes the feud between Hearn and White is hotter than the suggested match in North America.
