Cardinals' late offensive launch led to another loss at Levi’s Stadium

The Arizona Cardinals' recent loss to the San Francisco 49ers at Levi's Stadium highlights the struggles of their offense. Head coach Mike LaFleur is still adjusting to the new scheme in his first season. In the 36-30 defeat, the Cardinals only managed six points in the first half, leaving them trailing the 49ers from the outset.

The defensive unit has had its share of issues, primarily due to spending extended periods on the field and the inability of their offense to sustain drives. The Cardinals' defense has also seen limited playing time with a scoring league, making them vulnerable to the opponent's strategies on both the run and pass. Injuries have plagued the Cardinals' defense throughout the year, and the pending surgery of second-year defensive back Will Johnson further complicates matters.

As a result, LaFleur is in urgent need of his offense to pick up the pace to offset these challenges. Currently, the Cardinals rank 24th in yards per game and 19th in points per game. Although the Cardinals are currently 1-3, a win against the Seattle Seahawks, who have fallen to 3-0, provides a glimmer of hope in the NFC West division race.

However, the 49ers' dominant performance suggests that catching up will be a difficult task for any NFC West division teams if they continue their winning streak.
