BSM expands offshore services with strategic investment in OffshoreCrew

Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM) has recently agreed to acquire a 50% stake in OffshoreCrew AS, a Norwegian firm specializing in offshore recruitment and crewing solutions. This acquisition aims to bolster BSM's service offerings for customers in the offshore and maritime sectors, including industries such as oil and gas, offshore wind, and subsea operations.

OffshoreCrew, based in Kristiansand, has been providing recruitment, staffing, and crew management services for offshore vessels and projects. They maintain an extensive database of approximately 30,000 skilled professionals in the industry.

This strategic investment is a significant move in BSM's plan to broaden its offshore crew solutions capabilities. While BSM has primarily focused on technical and crew management for the global maritime industry, the partnership with OffshoreCrew allows the company to offer more specialized services tailored to the unique needs of offshore clients.

This includes providing highly skilled professionals like dynamic positioning operators, crane operators, and other specialists across various offshore unit types. By merging OffshoreCrew's expertise and agile operations with BSM's global network and infrastructure, the partnership allows customers to access a comprehensive range of offshore services, from recruitment and staffing to crew management and technical management.

The integrated approach enables faster deployment of qualified offshore personnel and significantly reduces response times for critical crewing requirements, particularly in rapidly evolving markets like offshore wind and other energy sectors.
