Booz Allen Hamilton hires former Navy robotics leader

Booz Allen Hamilton has appointed Michael D. Brasseur as executive vice president, the company announced in a press release. Brasseur, a 26-year Navy veteran, previously led Task Force 59, the Navy's inaugural unit focused on unmanned systems and artificial intelligence. Under his guidance, the task force achieved full operational capability within 18 months and accumulated over 35,000 hours of experience utilizing maritime robotics in various environments.

Before joining Booz Allen, Brasseur held the position of Chief Strategy Officer at Saab, Inc., where he helped craft the company's five-year business plan and technology roadmap. He also oversaw Skapa by Saab, the firm's AI and autonomy accelerator.

In his new role at Booz Allen, Brasseur will steer the company's defense technology business and formulate strategies for partnerships and innovation. Speaking on his appointment, Brasseur emphasized his commitment to delivering practical, mission-ready technology to operators who require it promptly. He expressed that joining Booz Allen represents an opportunity to further advance this mission and contribute to the development of capabilities that significantly benefit the nation's warfighters.
