Binh Minh Plastics extends clean water project to border communities

Binh Minh Plastics has expanded its clean water initiative to border communities in Vietnam, providing 10,400 meters of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes and fittings to enhance sustainable water infrastructure. This 2026 effort, which began on September 25, also supports over 1,100 students through the Green Mid-Autumn program.

Experts at BMP offer durable HDPE pipe systems to tackle difficult geographical conditions and improve long-term access to clean water. The project is a joint effort with SCG and partners, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to practical solutions that enhance quality of life. Over the past five years, the initiative has delivered more than 99,400 meters of plastic pipes, benefiting approximately 26,000 people, with a total project value exceeding VND19.2 billion ($739,000).

In 2026, BMP's project reached Dak Dang Border Guard Station in Dak Nong and Ngoc Chien commune in Son La, bringing clean water to soldiers, residents, Hmong communities, and students at Ngoc Chien Primary School. BMP's CEO Niwat Athiwattananont emphasized the impact of each donated pipe, gift, and scholarship on improving daily life and educational opportunities.

The "Loving Water for the Future" campaign exemplifies how business expertise and collaboration can create lasting positive change in communities. SCG, a partner in this initiative, recognizes the project's role in sustainable development and shared value creation in Vietnam.
