At least 11 people were injured after a school van caught fire in Murree

An incident involving a school van in Murree resulted in 11 individuals being injured on Tuesday, according to police reports. The vehicle, identified as a Suzuki Bolan, reportedly swerved off the road and erupted into flames near the Bara Hotar Link Road, as stated by Rescue 1122. The rescue teams promptly arrived at the scene to assist the passengers, who were primarily schoolchildren.

Upon the rescue team's arrival, the passengers were swiftly evacuated from the burning vehicle. The statement from Rescue 1122 indicated that all the children were treated for minor injuries, with nine sustaining burn injuries of varying degrees and the remaining two passengers escaping unharmed. The vehicle, however, was completely consumed by the fire.

Earlier this year, a similar incident occurred in Karachi, where eight students were injured when their school van caught fire while navigating the Shah Faisal Colony flyover. In February, a tragic accident in Okara saw a schoolgirl lose her life, and six others were injured when their van collided with a dumper truck. In March, a somber incident unfolded in Karachi, where two teenage sisters tragically succumbed to burn injuries after their family van was engulfed in flames.
