Anthony Edwards is all smiles after a position switch and a fun summer with his T-wolves teammates

The Minnesota Timberwolves have made a significant adjustment to their roster in the summer, acquiring star point guard LaMelo Ball from the Charlotte Hornets, which allowed them to move Anthony Edwards back to his natural shooting guard position. This move came after last season, when Edwards was limited to a career-low 61 games due to a hamstring injury early on and issues with both knees later in the season.

The Timberwolves finished as playoff contenders for the third year in a row but fell short of their potential, with coach Chris Finch admitting he made a hasty mistake in initially placing Edwards at point guard. Edwards, who has returned to form since the trade, expressed his gratitude towards Finch for the change, stating "I never thought I could develop any point guard skills."

Finch mentioned that the addition of Ball has brought about a shift in the team's mentality and personalities, with a recent trip to France organized by Rudy Gobert serving as a bonding experience for the team. Edwards is particularly excited about the new dynamic, noting that the group text messages between players have been "going crazy" as they prepare for training camp.

The Timberwolves are optimistic that Edwards, now free from the burden of always handling the ball, will be able to showcase his strength in moving without the ball, further solidifying his role as a formidable perimeter defender.
