Abu Dhabi LIVEX 2026 unveils Dh100 billion projects across key sectors

The inaugural edition of LIVEX 2026, a Liveability and Investment Exhibition in Abu Dhabi, showcased projects totaling over Dh100 billion across numerous sectors. The three-day event drew 20,000 participants from 50 nations, including 1,500 investors and over 100 international speakers. Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, emphasized that LIVEX 2026 embodies Abu Dhabi's commitment to prioritizing people and quality of life as central to development.

He explained that the city functions as an interconnected ecosystem, integrating aspects such as infrastructure, mobility, services, health, education, culture, and economic opportunities to provide a seamless experience for residents and visitors, thereby boosting Abu Dhabi's appeal to talent, businesses, and investment. Al Shorafa highlighted the second phase of Abu Dhabi's Lifestyle Strategy, which has been allocated Dh42 billion for new projects, building upon the initial phase where more than 60 projects valued at Dh12 billion were carried out.

The strategy aims to enhance the integration of residential neighbourhoods, advancing from 67% in 2023 to 81% in 2025. The exhibition also featured discussions on various themes, including the human-centred city, technology and mobility, culture, sustainability, and identity, with a focus on how these elements contribute to shaping Abu Dhabi's urban landscape and enhancing residents' quality of life.
