1920 Maryland factory restored as business hub with $1 million oyster center
A Maryland factory built in 1920 and later linked to the Phillips Packing Company has been transformed from a vacant site into a business and community hub. The Packing House now hosts offices, retail and event spaces, while a $1 million state project is creating an oyster-focused centre for processing, biotechnology, education and ecological stewardship.
