Woman found dead in rented House in Murang’a

A 36-year-old woman named Beatrice Wamuyu Wang'ombe was discovered lifeless in a rented residence at Kaweru Shopping Centre in Murang'a East Sub-County. Police apprehended her body on Sunday, September 27, 2026, after receiving a report from Kaweru Police Station around 10:25am. The woman's body lay undisturbed on a bed. Police reported that the deceased had no visible injuries.

Preliminary reports suggested that Wang'ombe had been unwell. Her neighbor reported discovering the body after realizing the deceased had not been feeling well when they parted ways on Saturday evening. The cause of death remains unknown. The body was transported to Murang'a Level 5 Hospital Mortuary for preservation until identification and a post-mortem examination could be conducted to determine the cause of death.
