Portugal, on the other hand, opened their tournament campaign with a 2-1 victory over Norway in Oslo. Joao Felix gave Portugal the lead in the 17th minute, but Erling Haaland equalized shortly after halftime. Goncalo Ramos sealed Portugal's win with a goal off a misplaced pass by Norway goalkeeper Orjan Nyland. Earlier, Diogo Costa had denied Haaland twice.
