UAE Special Envoy receives 2026 UN Changemaker Award

The 2026 UN Changemaker Award was presented to UAE Special Envoy Badr Jafar at UN Headquarters. This honor recognizes Jafar's leadership in driving change by leveraging business, philanthropy, and partnerships to advance sustainable and inclusive development. Dossal, the Founder and President of the Global Partnerships Forum, emphasized Jafar's over three decades of dedicated work and achievement in fostering collaboration between the business and philanthropic sectors.

Jafar acknowledged that while meaningful change may seem singular, it requires collaboration among various sectors. He explained that government establishes the framework and direction, businesses build, develop, and scale solutions, and philanthropy takes risks and stays committed long after initial recognition. As UAE Special Envoy, Jafar focuses on fostering collaboration among government, business, and philanthropy to support the UAE's diplomatic and development priorities.

He recently convened special meetings at the UAE Mission to the United Nations on themes such as investment in the water sector, strategic philanthropy and the African Union's Agenda 2063, and artificial intelligence and inclusive global charitable giving.
