Two dead, 14 rescued in accident on Kpetoe-Sarakope road

Two fatalities have resulted from a collision involving a Hyundai H100 bus and a Ford tractor on the Kpetoe-Sarakope section of the Accra-Aflao Highway, which occurred on Saturday, September 26, 2026. The crash took place as both vehicles were en route from Kpetoe towards Aflao. The Hyundai H100 was transporting 12 passengers at the time of the accident, while the Ford tractor carried two individuals, making a total of 14 occupants involved in the incident.

Firefighters from the Kpetoe Fire Station swiftly arrived at the scene and managed to rescue all the passengers before transferring them to the care of the National Ambulance Service and Ghana Police Service. The injured were subsequently taken to the Ho Teaching Hospital for medical treatment. Regrettably, among the casualties, one male and one female victim were pronounced dead at the hospital.

The Ghana National Fire Service has issued a renewed call to motorists, urging them to exercise caution, refrain from dangerous overtaking, and adhere to road safety regulations in order to curb accidents and prevent further loss of lives.
