Tukaram Mundhe on Sanjay Raut’s extortion charges: ‘If my officers are corrupt, show me’

Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe has dismissed the extortion allegations brought by Sanjay Raut against his officers. According to Tukaram Mundhe, the charges are vague and do not provide any specifics. He stated that his office has not received any letter from Sanjay Raut regarding his claims that food safety officials were extorting money from hoteliers, restaurants and quick commerce businesses.

Sanjay Raut reportedly wrote a letter accusing FDA Designated Officers (DOs), Assistant Commissioners (ACs) and Food Safety Officers (FSOs) of collecting large sums of money by threatening to suspend licenses. Tukaram Mundhe expressed gratitude to Sanjay Raut and requested that if he has any details, he should share them with him or the Anti-Corruption Bureau.
