Tribal man injured in elephant attack at Nilambur in Keralam

A tribal man named Keeran from the Poolakkappara hamlet sustained injuries when an elephant attacked him in the Nilambur South Forest Division of Keralam on Monday morning, according to forest officials. The incident occurred as Keeran and his friends were collecting gooseberries in the forest. Keeran reportedly failed to notice the elephant until it was too late.

The elephant struck him with its trunk, causing him to fall to the ground. Keeran suffered injuries to his shoulders and legs, and he was subsequently transported to the Government District Hospital in Nilambur. Hospital sources reported that Keeran's injuries were not severe.
