Tinubu has laid foundation to end lecturers’ strikes — Aide

Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu, Issah Niniola, announced on Monday that President Tinubu has laid a solid foundation to permanently end strikes by lecturers in tertiary institutions across Nigeria. This announcement came during the distribution of educational materials to pupils and students in Oba-Oke, Olorunda Local Government Area of Osun by Niniola's foundation, Issah Adedotun Foundation.

Niniola stated that while the Nigerian education system is still evolving, the President is committed to building it on a solid foundation. He assured that there will not be any more strikes due to the President's efforts.

The President is also ensuring that students receive quality education through the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) and providing allowances for lecturers in tertiary institutions. These measures, according to Niniola, are key reasons for Nigerians to support the President's bid for a second term. Niniola, who has been distributing free educational materials for the past 25 years, emphasized the importance of primary and secondary education in building a solid academic foundation.

He urged pupils and students to avoid truancy, drug abuse, and cultism, emphasizing that these vices can destroy one's destiny. He also commended President Tinubu and the state's leader, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, for their support in the education sector.
