Tinubu can rule Nigeria from anywhere – Presidency insists

The Presidency has firmly stated that President Bola Tinubu is fully capable of governing Nigeria from any location. In a statement released on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President's health is described as robust and he is not required to be physically present in Abuja to carry out his responsibilities.

This assertion comes in response to criticisms surrounding the President's extended vacation, which has surpassed the officially allotted three weeks. Nigerians have raised concerns over the absence of the President, who was expected to return to the country last week. Opposition figures have called for transparency regarding the President's whereabouts.

Onanuga clarified, "Nigeria's President is hale and hearty. He has been on a working vacation, which he is perfectly entitled to." He further emphasized that in today's digital age, the President does not need to be physically present in Abuja to perform his duties. Tinubu has indeed been working, according to Onanuga, having met investors in France and facilitating a $7 billion deep-sea port in Ogun Waterside, a project initiated by the Ogun State Government. The Presidency maintains that President Bola Tinubu can indeed rule Nigeria from anywhere.
