State of Qatar lays foundation stone for its pavilion at International Horticultural Exhibition "GREEN×EXPO 2027" in Japan

The State of Qatar has officially begun the construction phase of its pavilion at the International Horticultural Exhibition GREEN×EXPO 2027 in Yokohama, Japan. The foundation stone laying ceremony took place, marking the start of the project's implementation. The ceremony was attended by Qatar's ambassador to Japan, the Commissioner General of the Qatar Pavilion, and the Director of Projects Management and Development Department at the Ministry of Municipality.

The pavilion's design was chosen through a national competition involving 40 female architecture students from Qatar University. The design incorporates elements of traditional Qatari architecture and emphasizes sustainability, nature, and community. Qatar's participation in the expo is seen as a continuation of its successful experience hosting the 2023 Expo in Doha.
