Snoop Dogg Pokes Fun at Madonna in VMAs Monologue: “She Ain’t a Virgin No More”

Snoop Dogg, a seasoned musician, has now added hosting the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) to his impressive list of accomplishments. On Sunday, September 27, the Doggfather took the stage at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles to host the event. It was announced that the MTV VMAs, which had been held on the East Coast since 2018, would be returning to the West Coast with Snoop's hosting duties.

In his opening monologue, Snoop claimed responsibility for bringing the prestigious ceremony back to LA, stating, "When they first asked me to host this award show, I said, ‘Is it gonna be in L.A.?’ I said, ‘No? Well, I’m busy.’ They called me back and said, ‘Hold on, Mr. Dogg. It’s in L.A. now.'"

Snoop Dogg promised that the night would be a "biggest party the VMAs has ever seen" and hinted at a special gift for all the winners: "So having this show hosted by me in my city means two things: One, tonight is going to be the biggest party the VMAs has ever seen. And two, it wouldn’t be a Snoop Dogg party if I didn’t provide some of that special sticky icky icky."

The legendary West Coast rapper even added some comic relief into his monologue with a "Deez Nuts" knock-knock joke. Snoop Dogg has a long-standing relationship with the VMAs, having performed at the award show in the '90s.
