Sharks will need to be better against Leinster, admits coach Pietersen

Sharks head coach JP Pietersen admitted his team would need to improve significantly against Leinster in their upcoming match on Saturday. While satisfied with the Sharks' 41-24 win over Ospreys in Durban, Pietersen was disappointed with certain aspects of their performance. He praised his young players and new signings, stating that six debutants had made their Sharks debuts in the team's first URC victory this season.

However, Pietersen criticized the handling errors that led to missed opportunities and conceded four tries against Ospreys. He emphasized the need for better ball movement and a stronger defense to prepare for the challenging matchup against Leinster, followed by an away game against the Stormers. Luan Giliomee, the player of the match against Ospreys, would be available for the Leinster game but would then leave for the Bulls. Pietersen lauded Giliomee's exceptional talent and understanding of the game.
