Aggravated by the interruption, Scheffler confronted the fan and declared, "There's no place for that."

In a move that displayed his sportsmanship, Scheffler conceded the 30-foot chip shot to Echavarria, who proceeded to make the putt. This unexpected gesture saw both players finish the hole with a par, despite Scheffler having the potential to lead by four strokes with four holes remaining. After the match, Scheffler expressed his frustration with the fan's behavior, stating, "It's just ridiculous, somebody yelling in his swing off the tee."

Echavarria, in turn, praised Scheffler for his commendable behavior, calling him a "class act." The Colombian golfer acknowledged that the intense atmosphere can be distracting and detrimental to performance. Despite the unsettling experience, the US team won the Presidents Cup for the 11th consecutive time, defeating the Internationals with a score of 17-13.
