RCI Immanuel Temple donates supplies to Motherly Love Orphanage

Immanuel Temple, a branch of Royalhouse Chapel International in East Legon, recently donated food and necessary supplies to the Motherly Love Orphanage located in Kwabenya, Greater Accra Region. This gesture took place during the congregation's 10th anniversary celebration. The assembled 67 children were visited and prayed for by the members of the church.

The donated items comprised of rice, sugar, cooking oil, eggs, drinks, biscuits, and additional food provisions. This visit also coincided with the 40th wedding anniversary of Royalhouse Chapel International's founder, Apostle General Sam Korankye Ankrah, and his spouse, Apostle Rita Korankye Ankrah. The delegation was led by Immanuel Temple's Senior Pastor, Apostle Derek Amanor, accompanied by his wife, Rev Dela Amanor.

Apostle Amanor, who serves as the General Secretary of Royalhouse Chapel International, expressed the visit's aim to offer practical assistance while fostering fellowship with the children. "We had a very wonderful experience with them, praying for them and speaking into their lives," he conveyed. He called upon other organizations to contribute to the orphanage, urging them to follow suit.

The Chief Executive of Motherly Love Orphanage, Rev John Azumah, expressed gratitude for the donation but highlighted that feeding remains the home's most pressing challenge. "Feeding is number one challenge," he noted. He also pointed out the need for support in terms of school fees, books, medication, and clothing. According to Rev Azumah, seven of the children are currently pursuing their tertiary education, while 15 are in senior high school.

The remaining children are in junior high and primary schools. The orphanage operates from rented premises and is in the process of seeking funding to construct a permanent shelter using cement, iron rods, sand, and stone. Rev Azumah acknowledged the church's donation and commended the efforts of the President General of the Royal Ladies Ministries, Rev Mrs Rita Korankye Ankrah, in empowering women in Ghana.
