QU, Thani bin Abdullah Foundation sign agreement to enhance student support, community empowerment

The Qatar University (QU) and Thani bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services have inked a joint cooperation agreement to bolster student assistance and community empowerment. The pact, signed by QU's Vice President for Student Affairs, Dr. Mohammad Diab, and the Foundation's CEO, Dr. Ayedh bin Dabsan Al Qahtani, aims to forge an institutional structure for offering financial and academic aid to students, alongside increasing chances for training, professional growth, and volunteer work.

The agreement encompasses numerous fields of collaboration, with a primary focus on assisting QU students throughout their academic journey, organizing awareness and skill-building programs, conducting workshops, and promoting a culture of social responsibility and volunteerism. Speaking at the signing event, Dr. Diab underscored the university's dedication to improving its student support system, asserting that the partnership will expand opportunities for young people to contribute positively to community service and gain practical experience.

Dr. Al Qahtani emphasized the significance of collaboration between non-profit organizations and the academic sector for achieving lasting societal impact. He noted the foundation's strong commitment to supporting students, highlighting that QU is the largest educational institution in the country, thereby prompting the launch of impactful initiatives aimed at fostering a nurturing and distinguished educational environment.
