Pemimpin PH, Bersatu makan malam bersama di tengah spekulasi rundingan PRN Melaka

The Chairman of the Parti Islam Se-Melaka (PH) and Malaysian United Malays National Organisation (MNM) hosted a closed-door dinner in Melaka just before the PRN (Penilaian Rundingan Nasional) to discuss a potential alliance with other parties, including Bersatu, to form a coalition against the PRN. The dinner was attended by representatives from Bersatu, including Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz, Mohammad Ali Mohamad, Sri Sanjeevan, Hishamuddin Abdul Karim, Ashraf Mukhlis Minghat, and Adam Adli from PKR, while the PH Melaka Chairman, Adly Zahari, was expected to attend but did not make an appearance.

DAP Melaka's Khoo Poay Tiong confirmed that he would not be present. Hishamuddin stated that the dinner had no specific agenda and was merely a casual dinner and exchange of views regarding preparations for the PRN in Melaka. Adly had previously indicated that PH Melaka would use the PH Plus formula for the PRN, cooperating with other parties, but at this time, it did not involve the Barisan Nasional (BN).

Discussions with Bersatu on political cooperation were ongoing, and no final decision had been made. The talks were conducted based on the decisions reached during the PH Presidential Council meeting. On September 24, Tun Faisal had stated that discussions on a joint political alliance with other parties in the lead-up to the PRN in Melaka were still ongoing.

Bersatu had contested alone in the 1st general election of Negeri Sembilan on September 24 but lost all 24 seats. The Royal Commission of Inquiry (SPR) was scheduled to meet on October 7 to discuss the preparations for the PRN Melaka-16 following the dissolution of the Dewan Undangan Negeri (DUN) on September 23.
