NPFL: Ogunbote wants Plateau United to improve goal conversion

Plateau United's technical adviser, Gbenga Ogunbote, has emphasized the importance of his team improving their goal conversion rate. The Peace Boys emerged victorious against Inter Lagos 2-0 in a league match at the New Jos Stadium. The goals were scored by Gideon Monday and Jibrin Ibrahim in the second half. However, Plateau United squandered several clear opportunities in the first half to make the scoreline more dominant.

Ogunbote expressed concern over this issue, acknowledging that it's a challenge faced by many clubs. He told the club's media: "Every coach wants to win from the first minute of the game but sometimes anxiety and other things will cost a team." Despite this, Plateau United have maintained an unbeaten streak in their last five league matches. Currently, the club sits in second place on the table with 11 points from six matches.
