Nashik: 29 Cases Registered Against Ganesh Mandals Over Noise Violations

In Nashik, the city police have registered 29 cases against various Ganesh mandals for allegedly breaching noise regulations during the Ganesh idol immersion procession. The cases were registered by Bhadrakali Police Station with 11 cases and Sarkarwada Police Station with 18 cases. The primary reasons for the registrations include the use of loud DJ systems and other sound equipment that were found to exceed the prescribed noise limits during the procession.

Police authorities conducted monitoring of sound levels along the procession routes and took action against mandals that were found to have violated the noise limits. Prior to the immersion procession, police officials held discussions with the office-bearers of Ganesh mandals and provided instructions to adhere to the noise limits and the High Court's directives.

Despite these efforts, violations were still detected, resulting in the registration of these cases. Police officials have emphasized the importance for Ganesh mandals to strictly follow noise pollution regulations and court orders while organizing processions and using sound systems.
