Meta Launches Platform Aimed at Attracting Enterprise Customers

Meta has unveiled a new business venture aimed at attracting enterprise clients with its AI technology. CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the Meta Enterprise Platform, which will leverage the company's advanced models, leading agents, large-scale infrastructure, and years of experience working with businesses. The platform will initially focus on introducing Meta's full technology stack, including the Muse agent, Meta Business Agent, Muse API, Muse Code, and more, to enterprises and developers to help them grow.

Chirantan "CJ" Desai, Meta's newly appointed chief enterprise platform officer, will oversee this effort. Desai previously served as CEO and president at MongoDB, led product and engineering at Cloudflare, and spent nearly eight years at ServiceNow as president and chief operating officer.

Meta's AI assistant Muse has garnered significant attention since its launch earlier this month, topping the App Store charts and outpacing competitors like Anthropic's Claude and xAI's Grok. The personal AI agent has been downloaded over 2.5 million times, surpassing OpenAI's ChatGPT, which saw 3.1 million downloads during the same period. However, Muse still lags behind ChatGPT in terms of downloads.

Meta has also introduced Muse Charm, a pocket gadget that allows users to interact with AI by tapping and talking. While small AI gadgets have historically struggled to gain traction, Meta believes Muse Charm could be a niche product that stands out due to its focus on Meta's AI agent. The company sees this as a bet that consumers will want the AI agent even without the frames.
