Matthew Stafford commends 'unbelievable' toughness of 2 Rams TEs

On Sunday night, the Los Angeles Rams faced the Denver Broncos with Puka Nacua, their star wide receiver, sidelined due to a hip/groin injury. This forced the team's other pass catchers to rise to the occasion, contributing significantly to the offense. Despite the loss of Nacua, the passing game remained strong, with six players chipping in for Matthew Stafford's 390 passing yards.

In addition to the passing offense, the Rams also racked up 116 rushing yards by utilizing their 13 personnel formation, compensating for the loss of Nacua. However, the effort came at a cost, as the team played 82 offensive plays, leaving them fatigued. The tight end room, already grappling with injuries, had to bear the brunt of the battle.

Terrance Ferguson suffered an ankle injury and had to leave the game in the second quarter, while Colby Parkinson, struggling with a shoulder injury, returned to play but was later pulled out. In spite of the pain and injuries, the tight end duo, Terrance Ferguson and Colby Parkinson, held their ground, demonstrating immense toughness.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford praised their effort in the post-game interview, saying, "‘Higs’ did a hell of a job stepping in there. Colby was battling his a-- off to be out there. It was unbelievable the effort that he had, and really ‘Ferg, for whatever we could get out of him as well. So proud of those guys. Happy to be in the huddle with those guys."
