Lucas Rodrigues hails win, Brazil in control against Denmark

Lucas Rodrigues, the Brazilian midfielder from Goiás, scored his first goal for the Under-20 national team in a 4-1 victory over Denmark on Monday. The win marked the first of three friendlies that Brazil will play during the FIFA international window in Spain. In the 35th minute of the first half, Lucas found the net with a powerful shot that left the Danish goalkeeper no chance.

The midfielder expressed his happiness about the goal and the win, saying, "I’m very happy about the goal and the win as well. It’s an indescribable feeling to represent our country, even more so when I’m able to contribute. So, I’m very happy. I can only thank God and the coach for the opportunity." Lucas emphasized the importance of the strong start to the game, stating, "We started the game very well and managed to score our first goal.

We were able to control the game almost the whole time, so that gave the team confidence." The victory was the first of three matches for Brazil’s Under-20 team in this FIFA international window, with next matches against the United States and Mexico scheduled for October 1 and October 5, respectively.
