Lahore police request Centre to place suspects' names on PNIL in foreign woman gang-rape case

Lahore Police have requested the Centre to place the names of three prime suspects accused of gang-raping a young foreign woman on the Provisional National Identification List (PNIL), according to officials. The 20-year-old victim, who had traveled to Pakistan for business, was allegedly gang-raped by three men in a rented flat near Raiwind on the night between Friday and Saturday. This marks the second such case in the past four months involving a foreign woman being gang-raped in the Defence C police station area.

A police official revealed that the suspects had fled Lahore after the assault and one of their locations was traced in Sialkot city. Two close relatives and a domestic servant of one of the prime suspects were also taken into custody. DIG Operations Faisal Kamran stated that the three suspects have been identified, and police teams are working to locate and arrest them. The case is being investigated jointly by the Crime Control Department (CCD), operations, and investigation wings.

The police have taken the vehicle allegedly used in the incident into custody, and Cantt Division SP Investigation Asim Iftikhar is leading the joint police teams working on the case.
