KPMG in Qatar appoints new Country Senior Partner

Doha, Qatar - KPMG in Qatar has appointed Venkat Krishnaswamy as the new Country Senior Partner, set to take over on October 1, 2026, as part of the firm's strategic leadership succession plan. Krishnaswamy will replace Ahmed Abu Sharkh, who has led the firm for the past 11 years and will remain as the Head of Advisory and a key figure in the firm's leadership team.

Ahmed Abu Sharkh's tenure has been marked by a strong emphasis on quality, integrity, and long-term client relationships. Krishnaswamy, who has been with KPMG in Qatar for over a decade, brings over 15 years of partner experience and expertise in deal advisory, financial services, and strategic client engagement.
