Kirk Cousins passes for 3 TDs and the unbeaten Raiders come back to top the Saints 35-27

On Sunday, the Las Vegas Raiders pulled off an upset victory over the unbeaten New Orleans Saints with a final score of 35-27. Quarterback Kirk Cousins led the Raiders to their third consecutive win, throwing for 248 yards and three touchdowns. The Raiders managed to overcome an 11-point deficit in the second half to secure the win, remaining unbeaten under their new rookie coach, Klint Kubiak.

The turning point of the game came when defensive end Malcolm Koonce sacked Saints quarterback Tyler Shough as he began his throwing motion. This led to a controversial fumble, which the Raiders recovered, giving them possession and setting up their go-ahead score. Following a video review, the controversial call was upheld, resulting in a turnover for the Saints at their own 45-yard line.

Just six plays later, Cousins connected with wide receiver Cody White on a 4-yard touchdown, narrowing the gap to 27-28. Cousins continued his strong performance by throwing a 4-yard touchdown pass to Brock Bowers, extending the Raiders' lead to eight points. The Saints managed to get the ball twice more in an attempt to tie the game, but both drives stalled on fourth down.

Saints quarterback Shough had a stellar performance, throwing for 255 yards and a career-high four touchdowns, including two to New Orleans wide receiver Juwan Johnson. Running back Johnson also contributed to the game with a 36-yard scoring run, igniting the Raiders' comeback. Shough also turned the ball over twice, first on a fumble and later on an interception that led to the Raiders' final scoring drive.

The game saw several notable injuries for both teams. For the Raiders, wide receiver Jack Bech left the game with a forearm injury. On the Saints' side, linebacker Pete Warner left the first half with a neck and shoulder injury, and running back Travis Etienne left with an apparent hamstring pull. Edge rusher Anfernee Jennings also left the game with a knee injury.
