Karnataka youth achieves impressive feat in Shanghai World Skills Competition

Nine young individuals from Karnataka emerged victorious in the 48th World Skills Competition held in Shanghai, China. A team of 16 candidates represented Karnataka at the event, securing one silver medal, the exclusive 'Best of Nation' trophy for India, and eight Medallions of Excellence. Smriti Nambiar claimed the top honor, capturing the silver medal in the Bakery category, and was awarded the prestigious 'Best of Nation' title.

Additional Medallions of Excellence were earned by Pawan B.S. in Additive Manufacturing, Suhan Mascarenhas and Mallinath in Industry 4.0, Jayant K. and Deepu M.S. in Mechatronics, Dhanusha M.G. in Electrical Installations, and Abhishek Somanna Sighnalli and Vinay M.H. in Robot Systems Integration. Karnataka Minister for Medical Education and Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood, Sharan Prakash Patil, praised the winners, acknowledging their representation of the state's skills, talent, and dedication on the international stage.
