Karachi’s University Road Project Nears Completion

Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon declared Sunday that the University Road project in Karachi will be completed in two months. The announcement came during the inauguration of the Mosamiyat Flyover, a crucial element of the Red Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) initiative. Memon was joined by Sindh Minister Saeed Ghani and Karachi Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad at the event.

Memon informed that construction on University Road had entered the final phase and the project would be finished within the next two months. He also noted that the Mosamiyat Flyover would soon be open for public use following completion of formalities. According to Memon, progress was being made on BRT stations and other project components.

Memon admitted to project delays and apologized to Karachi residents, stating that fluctuations in the dollar, cement and petrol prices had contributed to the setbacks. Despite these hurdles, he assured that work had continued.
