Jubilee Hits Back at Ruto Over Uhuru’s 2022 Election Claims

The Jubilee Party has responded to President William Ruto's criticism of former President Uhuru Kenyatta regarding the disputed 2022 General Election. Jubilee Secretary-General Moitalel Ole Kenta rebuked Ruto for making political statements from a church pulpit, stating that such places should be dedicated to truth, humility, and spiritual reflection.

Kenta accused Ruto's administration of hypocrisy, arguing that the government lacked the moral authority to lecture others on accountability and governance. He emphasized that Kenyans are aware of the events surrounding the 2022 election and would not be swayed by the administration's propaganda or attempts to rewrite history. The controversy arose after Uhuru questioned why his administration continued to be involved in political discussions nearly four years after handing over power, despite the Supreme Court upholding Ruto's victory in the election.

Uhuru also questioned why political leaders were still discussing his record instead of focusing on governance. Ruto responded to the criticisms during a church service, expressing frustration at leaders who continue to revisit an election held four years ago.
