Joao Felix: ‘I want to go back to Europe and play in the Champions League again’

Joao Felix expressed a desire to return to Europe and compete in the Champions League following a stellar performance with Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League. The Portuguese forward registered an impressive 26 goals and 19 assists in 47 appearances last season, instrumental in Al-Nassr's league title win. This domestic success has continued in the current campaign, as Felix scored four goals and provided three assists in six matches.

His international form has also contributed to Portugal's victories, netting the winning goal against Wales and scoring again against Norway.

Despite his contentment in Saudi Arabia, Felix acknowledged his longing to return to European football. In an interview with AS, he stated, "I do plan to return to Europe, though perhaps not right away." He did not provide a specific timeframe for a potential move, but expressed a firm intention to play in European competitions again.

Felix's future remains uncertain, but his current comfort and happiness in Saudi Arabia suggest that such a relocation could be on the horizon. Barcelona holds a special place in Felix's heart, as he had a dream of representing them as a child. During a loan spell at Camp Nou in the 2023/24 season, playing for Barcelona was an honor, even if they did not secure any titles.
