Jets RB Breece Hall considered 'week-to-week' with thigh injury after leaving loss to Lions early

New York Jets running back Breece Hall may be sidelined for a week after leaving Sunday's 31-24 loss to the Detroit Lions early with a thigh injury, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Hall's MRI on Monday showed the injury was less severe than initially thought. The outcome of Hall's availability for the Jets' Week 4 game against the Chicago Bears remains uncertain, but his week-to-week status makes a return at Soldier Field seem unlikely at present.

The injury occurred when Hall, running outside, was tackled awkwardly by Lions linebacker Trevor Nowaske in the fourth quarter at Ford Field. Hall immediately expressed pain, reached for his thigh, and rolled out of bounds just short of the end zone. Despite running for 32 yards on 13 carries, Hall's season totals stand at 163 rushing yards and one touchdown, marking his first three-year extension with the Jets in May.

The Jets' record stands at 1-2 following their loss, but this injury doesn't seem to pose a long-term threat. For a team aiming for its first playoff appearance since 2010, this news is undoubtedly positive.
