Jean Luc Smith scores winning goal for Falmouth against JPII

In an intense boys soccer match, Falmouth claimed a narrow 3-2 victory over St. John Paul II, marking the Catholic school's first defeat of the season. Center back Jean Luc Smith was the hero, slotting home the equalizing goal to secure the win. Kaleb De Oliveira netted two goals, while Lindberg Ramos de Lima, Kaiden Holt, and Jonah Goldstone each provided an assist.

The loss marks St. John Paul II's first regular season setback since October 2024. In other high school sports, Fairhaven defeated Bourne 8-4 in a Conference matchup, scoring four goals in back-to-back games. Monomoy and Nauset played to a goalless draw in field hockey, extending Monomoy's unbeaten streak to three games. Nauset rebounded from their loss to Monomoy with a 6-0 shutout of Monomoy in girls soccer.

Monomoy and Rising Tide played to a 3-3 tie in boys golf, with Monomoy improving to a .500 record. In girls volleyball, Nantucket swept Sturgis West 3-0, while Dennis-Yarmouth edged Falmouth 3-0. Monomoy dominated Rising Tide 3-0 in a field hockey game, with Rory Shortis leading the scoring.
