Guilty verdict: Tony Pulis wants one of Man City’s trophies given to Stoke City

Former Stoke City manager, Tony Pulis, has expressed his desire for one of Manchester City’s trophies to be handed over to Stoke City following a recent guilty verdict. Pulis criticized Manchester City for their victory in the 2011 FA Cup final, stating that he felt cheated as his team was defeated by a team he believed was assembled through illegal means.

The 2011 FA Cup final was won by Manchester City, with Yaya Toure scoring the only goal. Manchester City's transfer fee for Toure alone was reportedly higher than the combined value of Stoke City’s starting lineup. Pulis expressed his disappointment in a BBC column, noting that he perceived himself as having been cheated after his team lost to the highly talented Manchester City squad, led by experienced manager Roberto Mancini.

Pulis now believes that Manchester City should be fined heavily and suffer points deductions, as he feels they violated the Premier League’s financial regulations, which not only resulted in their FA Cup final victory over Stoke but also allowed them to accumulate numerous titles and establish dominance over English football. While Pulis does not expect the FA Cup title and winners' medals to be returned, he still feels cheated and hopes that some form of punishment will be imposed on Manchester City.
