GOXI Deepens Financial Inclusion with N160.65m Claims Settlement

Microinsurance firm GOXI Microinsurance Company Limited has made a N160.65 million claims payment between January and July 2026, underscoring its dedication to offering financial protection to individuals, families, and small enterprises. This payment, announced by Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Shina Gbadegesin, illustrates the company's steadfast commitment to fulfilling its obligations promptly and providing timely financial relief to policyholders who have endured unexpected losses.

In total, GOXI has disbursed over N821 million in claims to traders, low-income households, and small business owners over the past six years. For Gbadegesin, claims payment is at the heart of the company's mission to shield vulnerable Nigerians from financial setbacks. "The true value of insurance is revealed when a policyholder suffers a loss and receives the financial assistance needed for recovery," he stated.

"At GOXI Microinsurance, we recognize that our customers rely on us during some of their most challenging times." The N160.65 million paid in claims in the first half of 2026 reflects the company's commitment to honoring its promises and offering prompt relief to its policyholders. Gbadegesin emphasized that GOXI aims to make insurance affordable, accessible, and relevant to all.

In addition to claims settlement, GOXI has expanded its corporate social responsibility initiatives, focusing on environmental sustainability, women's empowerment, and support for vulnerable groups. To commemorate World Environment Day 2026, the company conducted an environmental cleanup and waste-management awareness campaign at Alade Market in Lagos State.

Gbadegesin explained that these corporate responsibility programs are designed to complement the company's core business of protecting people and enhancing their capacity to recover from financial and social challenges.
