Giants HC Talks Up Jameis Winston Amid QB Trade Speculation

Winston completed 14 of 22 passes for 118 yards, along with an additional 14 yards rushing. Although his performance was not exceptional, it was sufficient to secure the win for New York, which was playing against a Titans team that had struggled to start Robert Saleh's first season as head coach.

Following the game, Giants head coach John Harbaugh reaffirmed his commitment to Winston as the team's starter, regardless of any future signings. Harbaugh praised Winston for his efforts in the win against Tennessee. The Giants do not appear to be planning around Winston's struggles, as they are focused on maximizing the opportunities at their disposal. The quarterback the team adds will not be centered around Winston's limitations; instead, they will pursue the best options available.

The Giants are optimistic that Dart could return for the team's playoff push in January, should they make a deep playoff run. In the meantime, the team, currently 2-1, plays the Arizona Cardinals in Week 4 at home. Winston's recent performances have raised concerns for the Giants' playoff hopes. In the Giants' previous game against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football, Winston completed 11 of 27 passes for 111 yards and an interception.

Harbaugh acknowledged that the team's plans for the season will not hinge on Winston's limitations, and they remain focused on winning games to secure a postseason spot.
