Expressing his desire to confront Burna Boy over a previous arrest, the rapper stated his intention during an interview with Nevo Media. He expressed his hope that the boxing match would take place after he concludes his fight with Carter Efe, adding that defeating Burna Boy would be a significant highlight of his year.

Speed Darlington emphasized that he would never forgive Burna Boy for his alleged involvement in his incarceration. He further confirmed that despite a potential future confrontation, they remain sworn enemies for life.
