Emirates, Dubai Chambers deal to help small businesses expand globally

Emirates and Dubai Chambers have formed a partnership to assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Dubai in expanding their operations globally. The memorandum of understanding, signed at Seamless Middle East 2026, will provide members of Dubai Chamber of Commerce with access to Emirates SkyCargo, the airline's freight division. This access includes international air cargo services, logistics solutions, and travel incentives through Emirates Business Rewards, the airline's corporate loyalty program for SMEs.

Emirates SkyCargo will offer its services across six continents, providing Dubai-based SMEs with the opportunity to leverage the airline's global network. Additionally, startups and smaller companies will be able to utilize Emirates Courier Express, a door-to-door international shipping service, for express delivery, customs clearance, and transportation.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates' deputy president and chief commercial officer, highlighted the importance of SMEs to Dubai's economy and emphasized that the partnership would make international logistics and travel more accessible. Kazim stated that Emirates SkyCargo has democratized access to world-class logistics and cargo capacity, enabling SMEs to achieve the same global reach and connectivity as larger organizations.

The agreement also aims to remove barriers to cross-border trade and support businesses seeking to enter new markets. Dubai Chambers members who join Emirates Business Rewards will receive a 2,000-point welcome bonus. Furthermore, the two organizations will collaborate on joint events and promotional activities, with additional benefits to be developed over time.

Emirates SkyCargo and Dubai Chambers will also develop workshops, knowledge-sharing platforms, and cargo advisory programs specifically for Dubai-based startups and SMEs. These initiatives are designed to help these companies reach international markets more efficiently, aligning with the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which focuses on enhancing private-sector competitiveness and increasing Dubai's foreign trade.

Currently, Emirates SkyCargo transports cargo to over 150 destinations across six continents through its Dubai hub.
