Digital tourism awareness session held at Araku college

On Monday, a digital tourism awareness session was conducted at Araku Valley Women’s Degree College as part of the Tourism Week festivities in Alluri Sitharama Raju district. The event, organized by district officials, aimed to educate students about the latest advancements in the tourism industry.

District Tourism Officer Pattasi Chalapathi Rao led the session, highlighting the ASR District Tourism website and its QR code functionality. He demonstrated how students could scan the QR code using their mobile phones to access valuable information about various tourist destinations and services.

The session also delved into the use of artificial intelligence and digital tools for creating tourism-related content, such as short videos and digital storytelling. Emphasis was placed on leveraging multilingual content to cater to a wider audience.

College Principal Kusuma Kumari expressed her appreciation for the district administration’s initiative to utilize technology in promoting tourism. By integrating digital solutions, the district seeks to enhance the overall tourism experience for both residents and visitors.

This initiative aligns with larger efforts to promote Araku Valley as a popular tourist destination, leveraging modern technology to attract more visitors and showcase the region’s unique offerings.
