Court hears of Lamarre-Condon body in bushland conversation with friend

Former police officer Beau Lamarre-Condon is on trial for the double murder of Sydney couple Jesse Baird and Luke Davies. A former friend of Lamarre-Condon, Georgia Cook, testified that nine months before the murders, she and the accused had a conversation in which he expressed a desire to kill someone, hide their belongings in a dumpster, and dispose of their bodies in bushland.

Cook described the conversation as surreal and frightening, and stated that she told Lamarre-Condon she did not want to be involved in helping to hide a body. Lamarre-Condon's defense attorney argued that Cook's account of the conversation was something she had read in the media, but Cook maintained that the accused had made the comments himself. The trial, presided over by Justice Natalie Adams, is expected to last three months.
